Former Judge Johan Kriegler of South Africa; ethical dwarf

The Law Society of South Africa provided Johan Kriegler with a law license in 1959 after he graduated from the University of Pretoria School of Law.

He Judicial Service Commission has found Johan guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

• Made public utterances, persistently attacking a senior judge in active service, Judge President of the Western Cape High Court John Hlophe
• Failed to refrain from public criticism of another judge
• Failed to uphold the integrity of the judiciary
• Failed to act with courtesy and collegiality towards another judge
• Improperly lent the prestige of his judicial office for the advancement of private interests
• Failed to uphold the independence of the judiciary
• Failed to behave in a manner that enhances public trust in, or respect for the judiciary or the judicial system
• Failed to act in a manner befitting his judicial office

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Judicial Misfits sitting on the Judicial Services Commission punished Johan by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. September 2022, it is rumored that Johan has an application pending for a job as stock boy at the Pick N Pay at 150 Commissioner Street in Johannesburg, South Africa.
