Attorney Steven Wilen of Sylvan Lake, MI; ethical misfit

The state of Michigan presented Steven H. Wilen with a law license in 1982 after he graduated from the University of Detroit School of Law.

The Tri-County Hearing Panel #63 found Stevie guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

• Engaged in conduct that exposes the legal profession or the courts to obloquy, contempt censure or reproach
• Engaged in discourteous and disrespectful conduct
• Engaged in conduct that is contrary to justice, ethics, honesty, or good morals

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the Michigan Supreme Court punished Stevie by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand and assessed costs of $1,220.75.

And lastly, as one would suspect, Stevie fails to mention the misconduct set forth above on his self-serving website at www.stevenwilen.com. Apparently, he decided to conceal this highly relevant information from prospective clients for the purpose of not limiting his future victim pool.

As we speak (ca. September 2022), Stevie practices his so-called brand of law with the Law Office of Steven H. Wilen at 2215 Garland Street in Sylvan Lake, Michigan.
