Judge James Martin of Las Cruces, NM; ethical elf

The state of New Mexico presented James T. Martin with a law license in 1991 after he graduated from the University of New Mexico School of Law.

FYI: Former Gov. Gary Johnson was duped into appointing Jimmy as a District Court Judge for Doña Ana County in 1991. Jimmy didn’t get the appointment because he was the most qualified attorney in the greater Las Cruces. He received it because he had proven to be a reliable lackey for the local political hacks.

It should be noted that Jimmy has had his significant snout firmly implanted in the public trough for the past thirty-one (31) years. Apparently, no self-respecting law firm in the greater Las Cruces area was about to offer Jimmy a good paying job.

The 2020 retention evaluation conducted by the New Mexico Judicial Performance Evaluation Commission as to the qualifications for the retention of Judge Bryant to remain as a Bernalillo County 2^nd Judicial District Criminal Court judge.

The scoring below came about from his court staff as to various categories.

• Voted to not retain = 28%
• Exhibits integrity = 28% disagree
• Respects Court Employees = 30% disagree

As we speak (ca. March 2022), Jimmy continues to dispense his so-called idea of jurisprudence as Third Judicial District Court Judge Las Cruces, New Mexico.
