Attorney Thomas Carter of Portland, OR; ethical misfit

The State of Oregon presented Thomas O. Carter with a law license in 1966 after he graduated from the Northwestern School of Law.

The Disciplinary Counsel found Tommy guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

  • Engaged in the illegal practice of law
  • Send letter to client seeking workers compensation benefits when he knew his license had been administratively suspended
  • Violated his duty owed as a professional

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Oregon Supreme Court punished Tommy by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. August 2022), Tommy practices his so-called brand of law at 4504 SW Corbett in Portland, Oregon.
