Attorney Richard Always of Salem, OR; serial offender

The State of Oregon presented Richard F. Always with a law license in 1977 after he graduated from Williamette University School of Law.

The Disciplinary Counsel found Dick guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

FYI: This wasn’t Dick’s First bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree. Dick previously received two (2) reprimands for engaging in a variety of misconduct.

• Failed to properly supervise office staff
• Failed to keep client informed of status of matter
• Failed to comply with client information requests
• Failed to explain a matter to the extent reasonably necessary to permit the client to make informed decisions regarding the representation
• Injured his client by failing to seek an award of attorney’s fees
• Further injured his client by causing her anxiety and aggravation due to his lack of oversight and communication
• Refused to acknowledge wrongful nature of his conduct
• Continued to assert that his employee was solely to blame for his misconduct

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Oregon Supreme Court punished Dick by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As one would suspect, Dick fails to mention the misconduct set forth above on his self-serving website at www.alwaylaw.com. Apparently, Dick decided to conceal this relevant information from prospective clients so that he would not limit his future victim pool.

As we speak (ca. June 2022), Dick practices his so-called brand of law with the Law Offices of Always & Associates at 2581 12^th Street in Salem, Oregon.
