Barrister John Berwick of Australia; cheating loser

The Law Society of New South Whales presented Dr. John Patrick Berwick with a law license in 2003 after she graduated from Dalhousie University School of Law.

The Council of the New South Wales Bar Association found Johnny guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

• Engaged in unsatisfactory professional conduct
• Received two payments of trust money before completing the work for which the moneys had been paid in advance and without issuing a bill
• Failed to advise in relation to deficiencies in the statement of claim filed in the proceedings before he was briefed to appear for his client
• Johnny ailed to rectify deficiencies in an amended statement of claim drafted by him
• Failed to undertake the work necessary for the hearing of an application filed by the ATO for summary dismissal of the proceedings
• Failed to appear at hearing for client’s ATO application
• Overcharged his client (cheater)
• Johnny’s delay in paying the ATO’s costs that he was ordered to pay personally because of his failure to appear at the hearing of the summary dismissal application (those costs were not paid until approximately four months after they were assessed)
• Delayed in providing an itemized bill to his client

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Solicitor Misfits sitting on the New South Wales Bar Association punished Johnny by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand and assessed disciplinary costs of $70,000.00.

As we speak (ca. June 2022), Johnny practices his so-called brand of law in New South Wales.
