Judge Said Chitembwe of Kenya; ethical troll

The State of New Jersey presented Said Juma Chitembwe with a law license in 1990 after he graduated from the University of Nairobi School of Law.

The Judicial Service Commission found Judge Chitembwe guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

  • Implicated in graft in secretly recorded videos published on social media by former Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko
  • Engaged in gross misconduct
  • Involved in a scheme to compromise the course of justice in a land dispute

All that remains now is to what if any punishment is meted out to Judge Chitembwe by the Judicial Service Commission.

As a direct consequence of the graft allegations concerning Judge Chitembwe, Nigerian President Uhuru ordered Chitembwe’s immediate suspension from the bench during the pendency of the graft investigation.

As we speak (ca. June 2022), it is rumored that Judge Chitembwe has applied for a job as a greeter at the Walmart Supercenter Store located on Gathuru Road in Nairobi, Kenya.
