Attorney David Tompkins of Silver Spring, MD; lying loser

The state of Maryland presented David Errol Tompkins with a law license in 1998 after he graduated from the University of Missouri School of Law. Davey also obtained a license to practice in Missouri in 1996, Maryland, Virginia, and the District of Columbia in 1998.

The Office of Disciplinary Counsel (ODC) found Davey guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

• Made false and misleading communications about his legal services
• Gave things of value to individuals for recommending his legal services
• Routinely disseminated a newsletter to his clients via email that offered to pay a referral fee for new clients
• Paid referral fees to over 300 former clients
• Offered to purchase a dashcam camera for any client who left his firm a five-star review
• Purchased fifty-one dashcams for former clients in exchange for positive reviews

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Maryland Supreme punished Davey by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

And lastly, as one would suspect, Davey fails to mention the above misconduct on his self-serving website at www.lewisandtompkins.com.  Apparently, he chose to conceal this relevant information from prospective clients for the purpose of not limiting his future victim pool.

As we speak (ca. June 2022), Davey practices his so-called brand of law with Lewis & Tompkins PC at 836 Bonifant Street in Silver Spring, Maryland.
