Rep. Kevin McCarthy (CA): Today’s “Demented Serial Liar” Award Winner

This isn’t the first Award presented to Kevin. In the past, he has been the recipient of thirteen (13) Awards in various categories. Those awards are listed at the end of this article and can be viewed by going to the listed categories.

In a never ending attempt to retain his exalted position as Congress’ Demented Serial Liar, Kevin decided to continue with his blatant lies about Attorney General Merrick Garland and the issue of parents attending school board meetings. Towards that end, Kevin spewed forth the following falsehoods.

• “If Republicans win control of the House we’re gonna investigate the attorney general.”
• “Why did he go after parents, and call them terrorists, simply because they wanted to go to a school board meeting?"

As one would suspect, AG Garland never called parents terrorists for attending school board meetings. In fact, Garland gave the following testimony before Congress about the matter.

• “Complaints about education and school boards are totally protected by the First Amendment as long as they are not threats of violence.
• “I can't imagine any circumstance in which the Patriot Act would be used in the circumstances of parents complaining about their children, or can I imagine a circumstance where they would be labeled as domestic terrorism”.

It is painfully clear that Kevin will say or do anything to replace Nancy Pelosi as Speaker of the House, which includes lying about matters that are easily proven to be patently false.

If Kevin becomes Speaker he may well have an opportunity to spew forth more lies in two years that his beau Donald Trump.

As we speak (ca. May 2022), Kevin continues to be an embarrassment to most Californians including those in his congressional district
