Attorney Matthew Harris of St. George, UT; ethical goblin

The State of Utah presented Matthew L. Harris with a law license in 2004 after he graduated from the University of Utah School of Law.

The Ethics and Discipline Committee of the Utah Supreme found Matty guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

• Failed to communicate with his client
• After telling Matty she didn’t want to pursue the divorce, the client asked for a refund of the advance fee she had paid
• Over the course of several months Matty failed to respond to client request for a refund
• Failed to timely respond to ethics investigators (Up yours, said Matty!)

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Utah Supreme Court punished Matty by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. May 2022), Matty practices his so-called brand of law with Harris Lawyers PC at 321 North Mall Drive in St. George, Utah.
