Judge Reese F. Melville of West Wendover, NV; Muammar Gadaffi Wannabee 
Judge Melville sits on the Eastline Township Justice Court located in West Wendover, Nevada.
In early 2012, the Nevada Judicial Commission charged Reese with the following misconduct that related to a domestic violence case.
Joel Torres was Judge Melville’s former bailiff. In the presence of several witnesses, Reese said “I’m going to nail his [Torres’] ass to the wall” after he learned that Torres was charged with domestic violence.
Subsequently, Melville initiated an illegal ex parte communication with Larry Dunn, attorney for Mr. Torres. During the call to Dunn, Judge Melville ordered him to alter a motion for a change of venue to Elko Justice Court, so as to remove the following language from the document: “that your affiant [Torres] believes the trial should be transferred to avoid any potential bias against Joel Torres because the judge hearing the matter [Melville] has a personal relationship with the alleged victim’s family.”
As a consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Judicial Misfits sitting on the Commission punished Reese by gifting him with a complimentary admonishment.
The comedians on the Commission then further punished Reese by ordering that he attend a judicial ethics class at the Judicial College in Reno. What’s the point in the useless exercise?
