Attorney Gretchen Van Ness of Hyde Park, MA; slacker, cheater

The state of Massachusetts presented Gretchen M. Van Ness with a law license in 1988 after she graduated from Boston College School of Law.

The Board of Bar Overseers found Gretchen guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

• Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
• Failed to inform the client of the true status of the case
• Failed to respond adequately to client's inquiries
• Misled client about status of client’s case
• Failed to promptly to return a client's file
• Failed to refund unearned portion of her fee payment (cheater)

As a direct consequence of her misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Board of Overseers punished Gretchen by gifting her with a complimentary reprimand.  

As we speak (ca. May 2022), Gretchen practices her so-called brand of law in Hyde Park, Massachusetts.
