Attorney Carrie Kooi of Crown Point, IN; convicted batterer

The state of Indiana presented Carrie Kooi with a law license in 2009 after she graduated from Valparaiso University School of Law.

The Indiana Disciplinary Commission found Carrie guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

• Found driving recklessly and asleep behind the wheel
• Convicted of battery resulting in bodily injury for struggling and twice spitting on a police officer who had taken her to a hospital for a blood draw after stopping her on suspicion of impaired driving
• Pled guilty to battery resulting in bodily injury, a Class A misdemeanor

As a direct consequence of her misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Indiana Supreme Court punished Carrie by gifting her with a complimentary 30-day suspension of her law license.  

As we speak (ca. May 2022), Carrie practices her so-called brand of law in Crown Point, Indiana.
