Sen. Mitch McConnell (KY): Today’s “Bullshitting Hypocrite” Award Winner

This isn’t the first Award presented to Mitch. In the past, he has been the recipient of twenty-eight (28) Awards in various categories and/or the subject of one (1) opinion piece. FYI: Mitch is yet another loser lawyer who learned early on how difficult it would be to earn a dishonest living practicing law after graduating from the University of Kentucky School of Law in 1967. This led him to go into the second most honest profession (used car salesman No. 1), politics.

It should be noted that Mitch had his significant snout firmly implanted in the public trough for the past fifty (50) years.  Apparently, no self-respecting law firm in the greater Louisville area was about to offer Moscow Mitch a good paying job. In fact, if it wasn’t for a government check, Mitch would likely have been relegated to working in the coal mines.

During a recent (ca. January 2022) effort to further establish his bona fides as the U.S. Senates Serial Hypocrite and Bullshitter, Mitch decided to comment on the possibility of the Democrats in the Senate doing away with the filibuster to pass voter protection legislation. Towards that end, Mitch spewed forth the following sham BS.

• “If Democrats blow up Senate rules, millions of Americans will cease to have a voice in the Senate. “Entire states would be shut out.”
• “Top Dems have floated breaking the rules for years now.”
• “This isn't about new voting laws.”
• “It's about silencing voters who inconvenience Democrats.”

This is the same Moscow Mitch that on three (3) occasions did away with the filibuster so that he and his fellow GOP comrades could pack the Supreme Court with right-wing ideologues like Brett “This Bud’s for You” Kavanaugh.

Even more laughable is the undeniable fact that Moscow Mitch wholeheartedly supports voter laws in GOP controlled states that would make it more difficult for minorities, seniors, and all voters inclined to vote for Democrat candidates to cast a vote in the future.

In fact, Moscow Mitch is supportive of legislation in Georgia that prohibits anyone from providing water to a voter standing in line to vote no matter how long that person has been waiting or hold old and/or disabled the voter may be. Moscow Mitch gives a new meaning to being a Humanitarian.
