The state of Maryland presented Arthur Gary Kahn with a law license in 1976 after he graduated from Georgetown University School of Law.

The Office of Disciplinary Counsel (ODC) found Art guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

• Filed a motion to vacate the court’s order of dismissal but failed to appear for the hearing on the motion due to a calendaring error
• Failed to provide competent representation (moron)
• Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
• Failed to safeguard client funds
• Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice
• Failed to appear for his client’s trial because he failed to provide the court with his new mailing address
• Failed to deposit and maintain his client’s funds in an attorney trust account until earned

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Maryland Supreme punished Art by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.
