Attorney Chad Oldham of Jonesboro, AR; ethical gremlin

The state of Arkansas presented Chad R. Oldham with a law license in 2002 after he graduated from the University of Arkansas Law School.

The Committee on Professional found Chad guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

  • Knowingly employed Bethany Barnes, a convicted felon
  • Ms. Barnes pled guilty to one count of theft, embezzlement as a bank employee
  • Ms. Barnes was sentenced to twenty-one months in prison and ordered to pay restitution of $234,653.62
  • Allowed Ms. Barnes to have access to a stamp in the regular course of her duties which Ms. Barnes used to further her unlawful conduct and criminal acts
  • Failed to safeguard third-party funds
  • Failed to ensure that Ms. Barnes’ conduct was compatible with the professional obligations of a lawyer

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Committee on Professional Conduct punished Danny by gifting him with a complimentary caution and fined him in the amount of $1,500.00.

And lastly, as one would suspect, Chad fails to mention the misconduct set forth above on his self-serving website at www.oldhamlawfirm.com. Apparently, he chose to conceal this relevant information from prospective clients for the purpose of not limiting his future victim pool.

As we speak (ca. March 2022), Chad practices his so-called brand of law Oldham Law Firm, PLLC at 603 Southwest Drive, Arkansas.
