Attorney Ralph Brown of Portland, ME; cheater, serial offender

 

The state of Maine presented Ralph W. Brown with a law license in 1983 after he graduated from the University of Maine School of Law.

 

The Grievance Commission of the Maine Board of Bar Overseers found Ralphie guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

 

Ralphie’s 1st bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

  • Failed to cooperate with ethics investigators (Screw you, said Ralphie!)
  • In a divorce matter, Ralphie misled the Court and opposing counsel concerning the terms upon which counsel had agreed
  • Failed to respond to an opposing counsel’s motion seeking relief from judgment
  • Ralphie concealed from his client that the trial court had granted the relief from judgment sought by the opposing party for many months
  • Failed to take reasonable steps to keep client informed of status of matter
  • Neglected a legal matter entrusted to him

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the Patron Saints for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Maine Supreme Judicial Court punished Ralphie by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

 

Ralphie’s 2nd bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

  • Allowed statute of limitations to toll on client matter
  • Failed to fully review cline file to determine applicable tolling of statute of limitations on client’s case

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the Patron Saints for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Maine Supreme Judicial Court punished Ralphie by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

 

Ralphie’s 3rd bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

  • Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice
  • Engaged in conduct unworthy of an attorney
  • Charged a clearly excessive fee (cheater)

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the Patron Saints for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Maine Supreme Judicial Courtpunished Ralphie by gifting him with a complimentary 6-month suspension of his law license.

 

As we speak (ca. March 2022), Ralphie practices his so-called brand of law at 19 Candlewyck Road in Portland, Maine.
