Attorney Jason Mangrum of Brentwood, TN; slacker, scammer

The state of Tennessee unfortunately presented Jason Scott Mangrum with a law license in 1986 after he graduated from the University of Memphis School of Law.

The Board of Professional Responsibility found Jason guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

  • Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
  • Failed to communicate with his client
  • Failed to obtain consent from his clients to voluntarily dismiss their lawsuit
  • Following dismissal of clients’ lawsuit, Jason misrepresentations to his clients
  • Jason falsely claimed that depositions in the client case he dismissed were in the process of being scheduled

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Tennessee Supreme Court punished Jason by gifting him with a complimentary censure.

As we speak (ca. March 2022), Jason practices his so-called brand of law at 750 Old Hickory Blvd in Brentwood, Tennessee.
