Former Judge Miguel Camacho of St. Croix, VI; ethical misfit

The Virgin Islands provided Miguel Camacho with a law license in 1987 after he graduated from University of Oklahoma School of Law.

The Commission on Judicial Conduct found Miguel guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

  • Two court employees said they had been sexually harassed by Miguel
  • Engaged in serious acts of misconduct
  • Failed to avoid impropriety and the appearance of impropriety and failure to comply with the law.

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Judicial Misfits sitting on the Judicial Conduct Commission punished Miguel by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. March 2023), Miguel is employed as a litigation director for Legal Services of the Virgin Islands in St. Croix, Virgin Islands.
