Judge Steven Berk of DC; slacker, loser

The state of Arkansas presented Bradley Lewis Karren with a law license in 1985 after he graduated Boston College School of Law.

The District of Columbia Commission on Judicial Disabilities and Tenure Arkansas Judicial Discipline and Disability Commission found Stevie guilty of engaging in the following misconduct, all of which took place while he was employed as a DC Superior Court judge.

  • Engaged in extraordinary delays in cases on his calendar
  • Failed to dispose of pending motions by written order
  • Failed to address delays or respond to inquires by litigants or counsel who sought information about the status of pending matters
Failed to issue written order following hearings

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the Commission forced Stevie to involuntarily retire.

As we speak (ca. March 2022), Stevie practices his so-called brand of law with Berk Law PLLC at 2002 Massachusetts Avenue NW in Washington, DC.
