Former Judge Thomas Felts of Ft. Wayne, IN; convicted drunk, lifetime porker

The state of Indiana provided presented Thomas James Felts with a law license in 1979 after he graduated from Indiana University School of Law.

FYI: Tommy has had his significant snout firmly implanted in the public trough for thirty-one years (ca. 1989 to 2020). Apparently, no self-respecting law firm in the greater Fort Wayne area was about to offer Tommy a good paying job.

The Indiana Commission of Judicial Qualifications found Tommy guilty of engaging in the following misconduct, all of which occurred while Tommy was sitting as an Allen County Circuit Court Judge in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Judicial Misfits sitting on the Indiana Supreme Court punished Judge Freese by gifting him with a complimentary 45-day suspension from the bench without pay.

  • Tommy was arrested and charged in the Marion Superior Court with driving under the influence (DUI)
  • Tommy was also charged with public intoxication
  • Tommy subsequently pled guilty to the DUI criminal charge

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Judicial Misfits sitting on the Indiana Supreme Court punished Tommy by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. April 2022), Tommy is employed by the Indiana Office of Court Services at 3015 Caradoza Cove in Fort Wayne, Indiana, which means he still has his snout implanted in the public trough.
