Former Judge Jerry Ryan of Mena, AR; dimwitted scofflaw

The State of Arkansas presented Louis Jerry Ryan with a law license in 1981 after he graduated from the University of Arkansas School of Law.

The Arkansas Judicial Discipline and Disability Commission found Jerry guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

  • Failed to recuse himself from a guardianship matter when recusal was mandatory
  • Failed to perform his judicial duties impartially
  • Failed to comply with the law (scofflaw)
  • Failed to act in manner promoting public confidence in the judiciary
  • Failed to avoid impropriety and the appearance of impropriety
  • Failed to perform his judicial duties competently (dimwit)

As a direct consequence of his misconduct the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Arkansas Judicial Discipline & Disability Commission punished Jerry by gifting him with a complimentary informal adjustment.

As we speak (ca. February 2020), Jerry practices his so-called brand of law at 510 Church Avenue in Mena, Arkansas.
