Attorney Christopher Battaglia of New York City; convicted drunk

The state of New York presented Christopher John Battaglia with a law license in 197 after he graduated from Suffolk University School of Law.

The 1st Appellate Division Grievance Committee found Chris guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

  • Engaged in illegal conduct that adversely reflects on his honesty, trustworthiness, or fitness as a lawyer
  • Pled guilty to driving under the influence (DUI)
  • Pled guilty aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle in the second degree

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Grievance Committee punished Chris by gifting him with a complimentary censure.

And lastly, as one would suspect, Chris and his firm fail to mention the misconduct set forth above on their self-serving website at www.halperinlaw.com. Apparently, they chose to conceal this relevant information from prospective clients for the purpose of not limiting their future victim pool.

As we speak (ca. January 2022), Chris practices his so-called brand of law with Halperin Battaglia Benzija LLP at 40 Wall Street in New York, New York.
