Solicitor Wong Sin Yee of Singapore; ethical troll

The Law Society of Singapore presented Wong Sin Yee with a law license in 1980 after he graduated from Cambridge University School of Law.

The Singapore Disciplinary Tribunal found Wong guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

• On two separate occasions during his conversations with two different Investigation Officers (IOs), Wong used offensive, insulting and threatening language against the two officers who were discharging their duties
• Challenged the Investigation Officers to prefer criminal charges against his client and said that he will “drag the case against the client for one whole year” and the client would be made to “sell her body and earn money to pay Wong’s lawyer fees
• In a separate conversation with another Investigation Officer, Wong shouted at the IO that he “will be applying for hearing for the case”, accused the IO of being “cocky” and shouted “sure my balls, you are an idiot”

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Three Judges of the Republic of Singapore punished Wong by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand and fined $6,000.00.

As we speak (ca. January 2022), Wong practices his so-called version of the law in Singapore.
