Attorney Joanne Cassidy of Bronx, NY; lying scammer

The state of New York presented Joanne Cassidy with a law license in 2006 after she graduated from Catholic University School of Law.

The Grievance Committee found Joanne guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

• Opened an escrow account to shield the company's funds from its current and anticipated creditors
• Engaged in conduct involving dishonesty, deceit, or misrepresentation
• Submitted a fabricated ledger to conceal her misconduct
• Falsely testified at an examination under oath [perjury] before the Grievance Committee and at a hearing before the Referee
• Engaged in dishonest conduct by using escrow accounts to assist her clients in evading their creditors
• Counseled her clients to engage in fraudulent and illegal conduct
• Failed to express any remorse for her misconduct

Because Attorney Misfits in New York are held to a much lower standard of conduct then everyone else, Joanne was never criminally prosecuted for perjury.

As a direct consequence of her misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Grievance Committee punished Joanne by gifting her with a complimentary 2-year suspension of her law license.

As we speak (ca. January 2022), Joanne practices her so-called brand of law at 4315 Webster Avenue in Bronx, New York.
