Attorney Karl Friedrichs of Mankato, MN; dimwitted slacker

The state of Minnesota presented Karl Friedrichs with a law license in 1983 after he graduated from Hamline University School of Law.

The Office of Lawyer Regulation found Karl guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

• Failed to provide competent representation (dimwit)
• Breached fiduciary obligation by disbursing property proceed that were from sale of marital property to pay his legal fees
• Karl’s sale of marital property to pay his fees violated agreement with opposing counsel to hold said funds in his trust account and disburse them only by agreement of the parties
• Made misleading statement by omission to opposing party and the court regarding amount of the property proceeds were held in his trust account
• Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
• Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice
• Engaged in conduct involving fraud, deceit, dishonesty, or misrepresentation

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Minnesota Supreme Court punished Karl by gifting him with a complimentary 90-day suspension of his law license and assessed investigative costs of $900.00.

As we speak (ca. February 2022), Karl practices his so-called brand of law with the Friedrichs Law Office at 624 South 2^nd Street in Mankato, Minnesota.
