Attorney Michael Aragon of Las Vegas, NM; ethical gnome

The state of New Mexico presented Michael A. Aragon with a law license in 1968 after he graduated from Columbia University School of Law.

The New Mexico Disciplinary Board found Mikey guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

  • Made unnecessary and derogatory comments about client as a result of client filing ethics complaint
  • Failed to protect his client’s interests upon being terminated
  • Stated his client had engaged in fraudulent and repugnant conduct
  • Claimed client made willful misrepresentation to his former lawyers
  • Improperly divulged client confidential information

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the New Mexico Supreme Court punished Mikey by gifting him with a complimentary admonition.

As we speak (ca. September 2020), Mikey practices his so-called brand of law with the Aragon Law Office in Las Vegas, New Mexico.
