The state of Oregon provided Boris Rubenstein with a law license in 1977 after she graduated from the University of Oregon School of Law.

The Oregon State Bar found Annie guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

Annie’s 1^st bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

• Failed to safeguard client funds
• Commingled client funds with personal funds

As a direct consequence of her misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Washington Supreme Court punished Annie by gifting her with a complimentary admonishment.

Annie’s 2^nd bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

• Neglected legal matter entrusted to her

As a direct consequence of her misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Washington Supreme Court punished Annie by gifting her with a complimentary reprimand.

Annie’s 3^rd bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

• Neglected legal matter entrusted to her
• Failed to keep her client reasonably informed about the status of a matter
• Failed to promptly comply with reasonable requests for information
• Failed to withdraw from representation when she knew she could no longer effectively communicate or represent her client
• Failed to return the client’s file after termination of representation

As a direct consequence of her misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Washington Supreme Court punished Annie by gifting her with a complimentary reprimand.

Annie’s 4^th bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

• Failed to safeguard client funds
• Improperly deposited funds into her trust account for reasons other than to cover bank service charges or to satisfy minimum balance requirements

As a direct consequence of her misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Washington Supreme Court punished Annie by gifting her with a complimentary stayed 30-day suspension of her law license.

In truth, the comedians sitting on the Oregon Supreme Court didn’t mete out any meaningful punishment to Annie.
