Barrister Matthew Boyden of England; deadbeat loser

The Law Society presented Matthew John Boyden with a Barristers license in 2007 after he graduated from the University of Bristol School of Law.

The Bar Standards Board found Matty guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

  • Failed to comply in due time with an administrative sanction, a fine imposed on him by the Bar Standards Board (BSB)
  • Failed to pay fine of £400 ($547.00) in timely fashion
  • Failed to cooperate with ethics investigators (Screw you, said Matty!)
  • Behaved in a way which was likely to diminish the trust and confidence which the public places in him or in the profession
  • Engaged in unprofessional conduct

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Barrister Misfits sitting on the Bar Standards Board punished Matty by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. June 2021), Matty practices his brand of law at 45 Summer Row in Birmingham, West Midlands, United Kingdom.
