Attorney Steven Rush of South Jordan, UT; convicted druggie/shoplifter

 

The State of Utah presented Steven E. Rush with a law license in 2012 after he graduated from Gonzaga University School of Law.

 

The Ethics and Discipline Committee of the Utah Supreme found Stevie guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

  • Failed to communicate with clients
  • Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
  • Failed to provide competent representation (dimwit)
  • Failed to decline/terminate representation when required to so act
  • Engaged in conduct involving dishonesty, fraud, deceit, or misrepresentation
  • Failed to safeguard client funds
  • Failed to notify client his case had been dismissed
  • Pled guilty to one count of Possession or Use of a Controlled Substance
  • Pled guilty to one count of Retail Theft (Shoplifting)
  • Found guilty of failing to appear for court hearing on criminal charge
  • Misled client that he had contacted court to obtain leave to withdraw client representation
  • Pled guilty to one count of Burglary of a Vehicle
  • Pled guilty to driving under the influence (DUI

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Utah Supreme Court punished Stevie by gifting him with a complimentary 2-year suspension of his law license.

 

As we speak (ca. February 2022), Stevie practices his brand his so-called brand of law with The Rush Law Firm at 4778 Els Court in South Jordan, Utah
