Attorney John Rice of Juneau, AK; ethical goblin

The state of Alaska provided John M. Rice with a law license in 1985 after he graduated from the University of Alaska School of Law.

The Disciplinary Counsel found Johnny guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

  • Failed to fully cooperate with ethics investigators (Screw you, said Johnny!)
  • Caused potential harm to his clients whose money was exposed to mismanagement for a longer period of time, and
  • Conduct harmed the reputation of the legal profession for integrity
  • Breached fiduciary duty owed to his clients

As a direct consequence of his misconduct the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Alaska Supreme Court punished Johnny by gifting him with a complimentary 4-year suspension of his law license and assessed investigative costs of $1,000.00.

As we speak (ca. July 2021), Johnny practices his so-called brand of law with the Law Office of John M. Rice at 2 Marine Way in Juneau, Alaska
