Attorney Alba Varela of Coral Gables, FL; repeat offender

 

The state of Florida provided Alba Varela with a law license in 1997 after he graduated from the University of Miami School of Law.

 

The Florida State Bar found Alba guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

 

Alba’s 1st bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

  • Failed to act with candor in dealing with tribunal
  • Engaged in illegal ex parte (one-sided) communications with a trial judge

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the Patron Saints for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Florida Supreme Court punished Louie by gifting him with a complimentary admonition.

 

Alba’s 2nd bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

  • Failed to properly supervise an assistant
  • Violated several attorney advertising rules
  • Failed to obtain a written waiver of a potential conflict of interest from a dual representation
  • Sent out letter that violated several advertising rules and were received by parties represented by counsel in a foreclosure action, with said counsel’s prior permission

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the Patron Saints for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Florida Supreme Court punished Louie by gifting him with a complimentary 6-month suspension of his law license.  

 

As we speak (ca. June 2021) Alba practices is so-called brand of law with AV Professional Association at 3211 Ponce De Leon Blvd in Coral Gables, Florida.
