Attorney Valerie Hibbert of Lansdowne, PA; dimwitted slacker

The state of Pennsylvania provided Valerie Andrine Hibbert with a law license in 1995 after she graduated from Loyola University School of Law.

The Office of Disciplinary Counsel found Valerie guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

• Testimony at ethics hearing determined to strain credulity
• Failed to provide competent representation (dimwit)
• Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
• Failed to fully cooperate with ethics investigators (Screw you, said Valerie!)
• Failed to maintain individual client ledgers or conduct monthly reconciliations
• Held over $10,000 as escrow agent for over ten years without ever distributing the funds to the rightful owners
• Commingled client funds with her personal funds
• Failed to advise her client in writing that she did not carry legal malpractice insurance as she was required to do
• Accepted advance payments of legal fees that she failed to maintain in a trust account or IOLTA until earned
• Deficient client representation led to client loss of pursuing legal matter
• Failed to serve copy of notice of appeal on opposing party
• Gross negligence led to client’s appeal being dismissed

As a direct consequence of her misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Pennsylvania Supreme Court punished Valerie by gifting her with a complimentary 1-year suspension of her law license, effective on April 27, 2021.

As we speak (ca. June 2021), Valeri practices his so-called brand of law with Hibbert & Associates PC at 22 North Lansdowne Avenue in Lansdowne, Pennsylvania.
