Attorney Laarni Valerio of Philippines; rubber check aficionado

The Philippine Supreme Court provided Laarni N. Valerio with a law license in 1999 after she graduated from the University of the Philippines School of Law.

The Committee on Bar Discipline found Laarni guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Deliberately filed to pay just debts
  • Issued worthless checks (rubber)

As a direct consequence of her misconduct, the cheerleaders for Judicial Misfits sitting on the Republic of the Philippines Supreme Court punished Laarni by gifting her with a complimentary 2-year suspension of her law license and a warning that similar conduct in the future would be dealt with more severely.

As we speak (ca. June 2021), Laarni practices her brand of law in Cabanatuan City, Philippines.
