Attorney Luel Mendez of Philippines; convicted bully

The Philippine Supreme Court provided Luel C. Mendez with a law license in 2003 after he graduated from the University of the Philippines School of Law.

The Committee on Bar Discipline found Luel guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Physically assaulted Roger B. Dap-Og
  • Hurled offensive language, accusations and threats against Roger
  • Exhibited no remorse in what he did to Roger
  • Failed to uphold the constitution
  • Failed to obey the laws of the land and promote respect for the law and legal processes
  • As a result of Luel’s assault, Roger suffered a contusion of the right shoulder, fracture of the right clavicle, soft tissue contusion at the parasternal line
  • All of Rogers injuries were a result of the mauling visited upon him by Luel

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Judicial Misfits sitting on the Republic of the Philippines Supreme Court punished Luel by gifting him with a complimentary 1-year suspension of his law license and a warning that similar conduct in the future would be dealt with more severely.

As we speak (ca. June 2021), Luel practices his brand of law in Tagum City, Philippines.
