Former Judge Beth Maze of Owingsville, KY; ethical troll

The state of Kentucky presented Beth Lewis Maze with a law license in 2008 after he graduated from Appalachian University Law School.

The Judicial Conduct Commission found Beth guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

  • Improperly intervened in his husband’s criminal case wherein he was charged with possession of a controlled substance and other criminal charges
  • Criminally charged with two counts of forgery
  • Criminally charged with one count of tampering with public records
  • Failed to respect and comply with the law (scofflaw)
  • Engaged in illegal ex parte (one-sided) conversations with one or more judges involved in her husband’s criminal case
  • Failed to disqualify herself from a matter when disqualification was mandatory
  • Used or attempted to use her judicial position to gain personal advantage or preferential treatment for her criminally indicted husband

As a direct consequence of her misconduct, the enablers for Judicial Misfits sitting on the Kentucky Supreme Court punished Sebastian by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. May 2021), Beth practices her so-called brand of law at 860 Wyoming Road in Owingsville, Kentucky.
