Judge Ernesto Scorsone of Lexington, KY; incompetent boob

The state of Kentucky presented Ernesto Mario Scorsone with a law license in 1976 after he graduated from the University of Kentucky Law School.

Former Gov. Steve Beshear was duped into appointing Ernie as a Fayette County Circuit Court judge in 2008. Ernie didn’t receive the appointment because he was the most qualified attorney in the greater Fayette County area. He received it because he had proven to be a reliable lackey for the local political hacks.

The Judicial Conduct Commission found Beth guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

In one matter, Judge Scorsone was assigned to preside over a case wherein the University of Kentucky Medical Center (UKMC) and thirteen healthcare professionals were the defendants.

During the pendency of the case, the plaintiffs sought to prevent Judge Scorsone from enforcing a protective order that forbids them from all ex parte communication with Brandenburg’s unnamed treating physicians or other healthcare providers employed by the Medical Center. The local Court of Appeal sided with Judge Scorsone’s absurd issuance of a protective order.

The plaintiffs appealed Judge Scorsone’s asinine order to the Kentucky Supreme Court and in doing so made the following arguments.

Judge Scorsone’s denies plaintiffs the right to confer informally with coworkers inside their own practice group and effectively blocks their ability to engage the same attorneys for a potential common defense of all claims.”

Plaintiffs argue that the trial court’s erroneous order results in an irreparable injury incapable of remedy by appeal or otherwise. 

In vacating Judge Scorsone’s imbecilic protective order in favor of UKMC, et al., the Supreme Court made the following findings.

“We hold that the trial court abused its discretion because the basis of the order is ostensibly the personal conviction of the trial court that departs from precedent without providing appropriate justification at variance with precedent of the Commonwealth. 

Of course, Judge Scorsone doesn’t much give a damn about following the law and/or being reversed. He knows that no judge in Kentucky has ever been tossed off the bench for being a Certified Dumbo. Moreover, he isn’t concerned that the taxpayers will have to pay for his idiotic conduct since Fernando must now be retried before a jury.

As we speak (ca. May 2021), Judge Scorsone continues to engage in his so-called idea of jurisprudence as a Fayette County Circuit Court judge in Lexington, Kentucky.
