Iowa Supreme Court Justice Brent Appel; cheerleader for bank fraudster attorney

The state of Iowa provided Brent R. Appel with a law license in 1977 after he graduated from the University of California Berkeley School of Law.

Former Gov. Tom Vilsack was duped into appointing Brent as an Associate Justice of the Iowa Supreme Court in 2006. Brent didn’t receive the appointment because he was the most qualified attorney or judge in Iowa. He received it because he had proven to be a reliable lackey for the local political hacks.

In one matter, Brent decided it was appropriate to reinstate the law license of attorney Jason Arthur Springer who was convicted of seven (7) counts of bank fraud.

For additional information regarding the felonious conduct of Jason Springer, visit the URL at the end of this article.

Apparently, Brent is of the opinion that Mr. Springer has a constitutional right in Wisconsin to earn a dishonest living practicing law.

And lastly, if Brent was employed as the CEO of Wells Fargo, do you think he would even consider hiring Mr. Springer to manage the Wells Fargo branch at 424 Main Street in Ames, Iowa.

As we speak (ca. May 2021), Brent continues to dispense his so-called brand of jurisprudence as an Associate Justice of the Supreme Court of Iowa.
