Attorney Gerald North of Scottsdale, AZ; ethical gremlin

The state of Arizona presented Gerald David William North with a law license in 1985 after he graduated from Loyola University School of Law. Gerry also received a license to practice law in Illinois in 1977.

The Arizona State Bar found Gerry guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

  • Agreed to an aggregate settlement without the consent of all of his clients
  • Unilaterally determined the amount of each client’s settlement award without the clients’ consent
  • Failed to distribute promptly an award in a client matter
  • Failed to communicate with a client

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Arizona Supreme Court punished Gerry by gifting him with a complimentary 6-month suspension of his license.

As we speak (ca. April 2021), Gerry practices his brand of law at 9774 East Forgotten Hills Drive in Scottsdale, Arizona.
