Attorney Dawn Hiller of Mill Creek, WA; serial drunken convict

The State of Washington presented Dawn Marie Hiller with a law license in 2002 after she graduated from Gonzaga University School of Law.

The Washington State Bar found Dawn guilty of engaging in the following misconduct. 

Dawn’s 1^st bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

• Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
• Failed to communicate with her client
• Failed to safeguard client funds
• Charged with two counts of fourth degree assault in Kitsap County District Court
• Charged in Kitsap County District Court with driving under the influence (DUI)
• Charged in Bremerton Muncipal Court with driving under the influence (DUI), second offense
• Sentenced to 45-days in jail by Kitsap County Court
• Charged in Snohomish County District Court with driving under the influence (DUI), third offense
• Sentenced to 30 days in jail and 60 days of electronic home monitoring by Snohomish County Court
• Charged in Seattle Municipal Court with driving under the influence (DUI) and false reporting of her name to a police officer

As a direct consequence of her misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Washington Supreme Court punished Dawn by gifting her with a complimentary 2-year suspension of her law license.

Dawn’s 2^nd bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

• Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
• Failed to communicate with her client
• Failed to decline/terminate representation when required to do so
• Failed to refund unearned fees (cheater)
• Failed in her duty to protect client interests upon termination
• Failed to provide accounting to her client

As a direct consequence of her misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Washington Supreme Court punished Dawn by gifting her with a complimentary 3-month suspension of her law license.
