Attorney Robert Walker of Bedford, MA; serial offender

 

The state of Massachusetts presented Robert William Walker a law license in 1983 after he graduated from the Suffolk University School of Law.

 

The Board of Bar Overseers found Bobby guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

 

Bobby’s 1st bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

  • Unilaterally deducted legal fees from settlement proceeds without his client's unequivocal prior permission
  • Failed to maintain or place the disputed legal fees in an escrow account until after fee dispute was resolved

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Board of Overseers punished Bobby by gifting him with a complimentary admonition. 

 

Bobby’s 2nd bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

  • Failed to return client file upon request
  • Failed to cooperate with ethics investigators (Screw you, said Bobby!)

Bobby’s 3rd bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

  • Negligently used client funds to pay personal obligations
  • Failed to notify client of receipt of settlement proceeds
  • Engaged in conduct adversely reflecting on fitness to practice
  • Failed to safeguard client funds
  • Commingled client funds with personal funds
  • Failed to pay over client funds promptly when due

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Board of Overseers punished Bobby by gifting him with a complimentary 6-month suspension of his law license.

Massachusetts.
