► U.S. Judge Lynn Hughes of Houston, TX; incompetent Dimwit

The State of Texas presented Lynn Nettleton Hughes with a license in 1966 after he graduated from the University of Texas School of Law.

Former President Ronald Reagan was duped into appointing Lynn as a U.S. District Court Judge for the Southern District of Texas in 1985. Lynn wasn’t appointed because she was the most qualified attorney in the greater Houston area. In truth, she received the appointment because she had proven to be a reliable lackey for the local political hacks.

In one matter, Judge Hughes presided over a case wherein psychology professor Audrey Miller sued Sam Houston State University it denied her tenure and the University of Houston Downtown when it refused to hire her.

In her infinite ignorance and incompetence, Judge Hughes not only dismissed Ms. Miller’s case but established that was biased by making various statements during the pendency of the case.

Subsequently, Ms. Miller appealed the dismissal to the 5th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals at New Orleans which ruled in her favor and in doing so made the following comments.

  • “From the outset of these suits, the district judge’s actions evinced a prejudgment of Miller’s claims.”
  • “At one point, Hughes said he would crush the case.“
  • “Hughes limited Miller’s discovery, tossed some of her claims sua sponte [on his own motion], and chastised her when he participated in a deposition.”
  • “We have a sense of déjá vu.”
  • “To put it simply, the court’s discovery restrictions suffocated any chance for Miller fairly to present her claims.”

Of course, Lynn doesn’t much give a damn about being reversed and/or the cost to the taxpayers to correct his incompetent because he is well aware that no federal judge has ever been removed for being a Certified Half-Wit.

As we speak (ca. February 2021), Lynn continues to dispense his so-called jurisprudence as a U.S. District Court Judge for the Southern District of Texas in Houston, Texas.
