Attorney Emily Tran of New York City; lying loser

The state of New York presented Emily Anne Tran with a law license in 2004 after she graduated from Pace University School of Law.

FYI: Pace University is ranked as the 158^th best law school in the country out of 202 ABA accredited schools.

The Appellate Division, First Department Grievance Committee found Emily guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

• Allowed non-attorney to be signatory on her escrow account
• Aided unlicensed attorney to engage in the illegal practice of law
• Failed to report another attorney’s unauthorized practice of law
• Made misrepresentations [lied] to opposing counsel
• Had a misleading law firm name

As a direct consequence of her misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the First Department Grievance Committee punished Emily by gifting her with a complimentary 1-year suspension of her law license.
