Magistrate Judge Daniel Goheen of Huntington, WV; ethical gremlin

The West Virginia Judicial Investigation Commission found Magistrate Judge Daniel Goheen guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

• Failed to be patient, dignified and courteous to litigants, jurors, witnesses, court staff and court officials
• Failed to assure that court staff acted courteously when dealing with litigants, etc.
• Did not deny that he was rude when dealing with a litigant
• Danny often acts in a discourteous manner to those with whom he comes into contact in the work setting
• Danny’s written response to ethics investigators further demonstrated his churlish (ill-tempered) behavior

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Judicial Misfits sitting on the Judicial Investigation Commission punished Danny by gifting him with a complimentary admonition.

As we speak (ca. January 2021), Danny continues to practice his so-called brand of jurisprudence as a Magistrate Judge of Cabell County in Huntington, West Virginia.
