Former Judge Dianne Wallwey of Spencer, IA; drunken loser

The state of Iowa presented Dianne Renay Wallwey with a law license in 1994 after she graduated from Creighton University School of Law.

The Judicial Qualifications Commission found Dianne guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

• Criminally charged with harassment, a misdemeanor
• Charged with driving under the influence
• While appearing in court for a trial, Dianne’s movements were slow, sluggish, her eyes were very glossy, her words were slurred, she had an odor of alcohol, and when she spoke her eyes did not seem to be focused
• Officers in the court at the time also observed signs of Dianne’s intoxication and she was pulled from court so that they could begin an investigation related to Public Intoxication and Driving While Intoxicated
• Client’s trial did not take place due to Dianne’s arrest
• When the police spoke to Dianne, she denied having anything to drink and refused to participate in the Horizontal Gaze Nystagmus test or give a sample for a preliminary breath test
• The arresting officer stated he could smell the booze from her breath, noticed her eyes were bloodshot, and she was slow to answer questions
• Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice
• Committed a criminal act reflecting adversely on her honesty, trustworthiness, or fitness as a lawyer

As a direct consequence of her misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Iowa Supreme Court punished Dianne by gifting her with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. January 2021), Dianne practices her brand of law when sober with the Law Office of Dianne Wallwey at 1934 350^th Street in Spencer, Iowa.
