Judge Kenneth Molberg of Dallas, TX; ethical gremlin

The State of Texas provided Kenneth Molberg with a law license in 1976 after he graduated from Southern Methodist University (SMU) School of Law.

The State Commission on Judicial Conduct found Judge Molberg guilty of engaging in the following misconduct, all of which took place while Kenny was sitting as a 95th Civil District Court judge in Dallas.

  • Lent prestige of his judicial office to advance private interests of others
  • Authorized the public use of his name endorsing another candidate for non-judicial public office
  • Engaged in joint politicial advertisements with political candidates who were not running for a judicial office
  • Authorized a PAC (Political Action Committee) to use his name, bio without any restriction or oversight on his part

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Judicial Misfits sitting on the Texas Supreme Court punished Kenny by gifting him with a complimentary public warning.

As we speak (ca. April 2021), Kenny continues to sit as a Fifth District Court of Appeals Judge in Dallas, Texas.
