Judge Kelly Crow of Katy, TX; ethical troll

The State of Texas provided Kelly Nicole Crow with a law license in 1997 after she graduated from South Texas University School of Law.

The State Commission on Judicial Conduct found Judge Crow guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

  • Engaged in conduct that cast reasonable doubt on her capacity to act impartially as a judge
  • Publicly disparaged the discretionary decision of a judicial colleague on a bond determination, and did so without personal knowledge of the facts and circumstances that judge did or did not consider when making his ruling
  • In criticizing fellow judge Kelly referred to the judge’s family
  • Failed to conduct her extra-judicial activities so that they did not cast reasonable doubt on her capacity to act impartially as a judge

As a direct consequence of her misconduct, the cheerleaders for Judicial Misfits sitting on the Texas Supreme Court punished Kelly by gifting her with a complimentary public warning and order of additional education.

As we speak (ca. May 2021), Kelly continues to sit as a Justice of the Peace, Precinct 3, Fulshear, Fort Bend County, Texas
