Judge Michael Diamond of Braddock, NJ; ethical ogre

The state of New Jersey provided Aishaah A. Rasul with a law license in 1990 after he graduated from Rutgers University School of Law.

The Supreme Court of New Jersey Advisory Committee on Judicial Conduct found Mikey guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Engaged in illegal (ex parte) communications concerning a pending or impending criminal proceeding
  • Failed to act at all times in a manner that promotes public confidence in the integrity and
  • impartiality of the judiciary
  • There were discrepancies in Mikey’s statements and testimony as it relates to his review of defendant’s expert’s report
  • Mikey’s position regarding review of defendant’s expert’s report when juxtaposed with the transcript of his ex parte conversation with Prosecutor Platt suggests that Mikey was less than candid about the extent of his review of that report, which the record reveals went beyond a mere assessment of the expert’s name

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Judicial Misfits sitting on the New Jersey Supreme Court punished Mikey by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. May 2021), Mikey continues to practice his brand of jurisprudence as a Township of Winslow Municipal Court judge in Englewood in Braddock, New Jersey.
