Judge Terry Jurado of Renton, WA: ethical troll

The state of Washington provided Terry Lee Jurado with a law license in 1990 after he graduated from the Thomas M. Cooley School of Law.

The Judicial Conduct Commission found Terry guilty of the following misconduct.

• Failed to comply with the law (scofflaw)
• Failed to avoid impropriety and the appearance of impropriety
• Improperly ordered criminal defendant to leave courtroom and then issued warrant for his arrest when he complied with order
• Failed to act in manner promoting public confidence in the judiciary
• Engaged in an egregious abuse of power
• Acted from anger that resulted in the improper incarceration of his victim that lasted 14 days
• Failed to perform judicial duties fairly and impartially
• Failed to abide by any legal requirements to hold someone in contempt of court (due process)

Apparently, Terry is of the belief that “due process” is the means by which the grass becomes moist in the am.

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Washington Supreme Court punished Terry by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. December 2020), Terry continues to sit as a Renton Municipal Court judge in Renton, Washington.
