Attorney John Weinberger of Wilmette, IL; scamming loser

The state of Wisconsin presented John R. Weinberger with a law license in 1994 after he graduated from DePaul University School of Law.

The Office of Disciplinary Counsel found Johnny guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

• Neglected a breach of contract action, resulting in its dismissal
• Failed to communicate with his client about breach of contract action
• Attempted to make an agreement with the same client wherein he would refund a portion of the legal fees he received in exchange for a release from any malpractice liability, without advising his client to consult with independent counsel

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Disciplinary Counsel punished Johnny by gifting him with a complimentary censure.

As we speak (ca. January 2021), Johnny practices his brand of law with the Law Office of John R. Weinberger at 531 Lake Avenue in Wilmette, Illinois.
